Job description
At Aracari Studios, we design and build web and mobile products for U.S.-based companies and startups. We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who can take full ownership of the design process, from understanding user needs and defining flows, to delivering polished, production-ready interfaces that development teams can actually ship.
This role is for someone who thinks in design systems, knows how interfaces get built, and is passionate about exploring and using existing and emerging AI tools to work faster and smarter. Not just occasionally, but as a constant part of how they operate.
What You Bring to the Team
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
• Pro-level Figma skills, including building and maintaining scalable Design Systems, component libraries, and clean dev handoff files.
• Familiarity with component-based libraries like shadcn/ui — you understand how components are structured and design within those constraints, not around them. That means thinking in responsive behavior, component states, and spacing systems, and producing UI patterns that translate cleanly into reusable code.
• Experience designing both web apps and mobile products. Having worked with U.S.-based companies or stakeholders is a plus.
• You actively use AI to work smarter. Not just “open to learning it.” You already have Figma Make, Google Stitch, or MCP-based workflows in your toolkit, and you’re constantly looking for ways to cut friction, automate the repetitive, and spend your energy on what actually requires design thinking.
• Immediate availability required, this is an immediate hire.
Responsibilities
• Design intuitive, production-ready interfaces for web and mobile products, from early wireframes and flows to high-fidelity UI and handoff. Your deliverables are structured and complete: clear specs, interaction states, responsive behaviors, edge cases, and reusable patterns that give developers everything they need to build without guessing.
• Build and maintain scalable Design Systems that keep products consistent across screens, platforms, and teams.
• Design interfaces that are practical to build. You know the difference between a beautiful Figma file and one a dev team can ship.
• Collaborate closely with developers, understanding component constraints (like shadcn/ui) and making decisions that reduce friction in implementation.
• Work directly with U.S. clients and teams, present your decisions clearly, take feedback well, and push back when it makes the product better.
• Actively integrate AI tools (Figma Make, Google Stitch, MCPs, and others) into your workflow to explore faster, iterate smarter, and deliver more. • Proactively identify UX issues and propose improvements (you don’t wait to be asked).
